Aberdeen Studio is a leading custom cabinetry design and fabrication company based in Nashville. We are dedicated to producing high-quality, custom cabinetry that blends craftsmanship with modern techniques. We are seeking a Shop Foreman to join our talented team and oversee daily operations in our fabrication shop.

Job Description:
As the Shop Foreman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our cabinetry production. You will lead the shop team, manage workflows, maintain production schedules, and ensure quality control on all projects. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily shop operations, including workflow coordination, production schedules, and team supervision

  • Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

  • Lead and train shop staff in best practices, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are available as needed

  • Conduct quality control checks on all cabinetry projects to ensure they meet company standards

  • Support the project manager and installation crew to ensure efficient installation and timely project completion

  • Cooperate with 3rd party subcontractors to maintain quality control throughout both the production and installation processes

  • Work closely with the design and project management teams to address production-related issues

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cabinetry or woodworking production, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction methods, tools, and machinery (CNC, edgebanders, table saws, etc.)

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management

  • Proficient in safety protocols and procedures
